Record the Change

Kitchens meet real walls, and sometimes the plan changes on site. A one-page record keeps everyone agreeing later about what was decided.

Purpose
Record any change from the plan during install — what changed, why, and who agreed.
When
Mid-install — the moment the plan changes, before the work continues.
Who
Installer + customer, together.
The work

Name the change
What is changing, referenced to the plan: position / area, ACK# and POS#.

Say why
What the site forced — the wall, the pipe, the beam.

Write the agreed result
What will be built instead. Specific enough to check at the walkthrough.

Both sign
Customer and installer, before the work continues.
The gateNo scope change without a record.
Handoff
The signed form joins the job record. Commercial terms stay between the customer and their contract — this form never talks money.
Escalate
A change that touches structure, utilities, or product that must be reordered: your designer first, before cutting.
