Stage the Install

Crews lose more time hunting boxes than hanging cabinets. Staging puts every piece where the crew expects it — and missing pieces show themselves before they cost a day.

30 minutes, before the first cabinet goes up

Purpose
Job staged so install day is install, not sorting.
When
Before the first cabinet goes up.
Who
The install crew.
The work
1
Sort into 4 groups
Tall cabinets. Base cabinets. Wall cabinets. Panels and fillers.
2
Labels face out
Every label readable without moving a box. Keep stacks short.
3
Stage by room
Each box goes in — or next to — the room where it will live.
4
Match numbers to drawings
Studio: POS numbers on the elevations. Klassik: product names on the parts list. Tick each piece as you place it. Inventory from the elevations or parts list — not the floor plan.
5
Lay small parts on a table
Grouped by type. Visible parts don’t get lost.
The gateStage first. Open boxes second — you need the labels to stage.
Handoff
Staged and ticked — the crew starts. Before the First Screw is next.
Escalate
Something looks missing? Plinth may be bundled with ceiling fillers and panels — check before calling it missing. Multi-order jobs: the 4-digit code = last 2 of the order number + POS. Then report with ACK# + POS# + photos.
