The work
1
Expect a call
The driver phones ahead. Most delivery windows are about 4 hours.
2
Pick the landing spot
The first dry space works. A garage is perfect if it stays dry — water ruins cabinets in an hour.
3
Clear the path
The truck is big — a clear driveway and approach make its day easy.
4
Have an adult there
Someone 18 or older receives and signs.
5
Count before you sign
Match pallets and boxes to the delivery note. Write any damage on the driver’s paperwork — it is your record.
6
Take photos
The delivery as it landed. One minute of photos protects you for years.

Handoff
Next is Check Off Every Box — delivery note in one hand, marker in the other. Until then: boxes stay closed, labels stay on, everything stays dry. Boxes are heavy — save your back and leave them for the install crew.
Escalate
Short pallets or visible damage: write it on the driver's paperwork before signing, photograph it, and report within 7 days.
